How does Wholehearted Wellness Coaching work?
Discovery Session — A complimentary 20-minute video call in which we talk, learn about each other, and see if we are a good fit. I’ll ask about what you want from coaching, and let you know how I might be able to help.
Getting Started — If we are a good match, we’ll begin a 3-month coaching program tailored to your needs. We start with 12 weeks for a few reasons. Most important, it allows us to build a solid coaching relationship, which is the foundation for success. Second, leading research shows that creating sustainable change takes at least 3-6 months. And, bonus! — Making this commitment will actually jump start your wellness journey because it is a declaration to your Self that you are determined to optimize your well-being.
The Heart of the Program — During our sessions (45-60 min.) together, we will start where you are now and move towards your vision of optimal well-being. We will explore, expand, and experiment. In our sessions, we’ll go beyond talking–I’ll ask you to actively engage with self-empowerment tools, breath practices, and movement. And yes, sometimes there will be homework fun explorations and experiments to do between sessions. Through it all, I will offer steady encouragement and accountability.
Commencement — The end of your coaching program is actually a new beginning. As we near the end of the program, we’ll talk about next steps and design a plan for ongoing success. Then, we’ll celebrate your launch into your wholehearted life!

Qualifications
Before I list my education and certifications, I want to say that my #1 qualification is that I am passionate about helping people reach their own unique potential. I always have been. Even as a classroom teacher, that was my teaching philosophy and practice. I really want to help you become your own best version of yourself.
I am honored to be a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. This is the highest level of certification for health and wellness coaches, awarded to certified coaches who pass a rigorous exam. Because I am an NBC-HWC, you can be assured that I have a thorough understanding of best coaching practices, that I follow the NBHWC Code of Ethics, and that I am committed to ongoing professional development as a wellness coach.
I earned the highest coaching certification awarded by the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute: Master Certified Health Coach. In this intensive, well-rounded program, I learned the latest science-based health and wellness content, as well as foundational coaching skills such as motivational interviewing and appreciative inquiry.
I am a IKYTA Certified Yoga Instructor and RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance. Again, I offer these certifications to let you know I am well-trained, and I am committed to ongoing professional development.
I earned my Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College. This degree program helped me articulate and implement my passion for empowering people to become their best selves through lifelong learning. In addition, I incorporate some key takeaways in my coaching practice, including multiple intelligences (everyone has unique gifts and learning styles) and constructivism (learn by doing–that’s why sessions with me are interactive).
I am also a Wellness Advocate with doTERRA, and have extensive knowledge about essential oils and how to best utilize them for optimal health.
In addition, and at least equally important, I have a wealth of personal experience to draw on from my own wellness journey. When you’re ready, I am prepared to guide you on your path towards holistic health and wholehearted wellness.
